Grades K-6 | | Creative Writing | This 3-10 day residency builds upon the exercises offered in a one day program. The additional time and instruction allows students to more fully develop ideas and characters, explore the use of sensory rich language, understand critiquing, editing and rewriting, and share their works with their peers. This residency can be customized to meet a school’s goals or to enhance curriculum. Grades 3-12 & Adult | | Digital Art Residency | Playing Card Portraits – Students begin by drawing portraits on paper, and scanning them into the computer in this 4-6 day residency. The final result is copied, flipped and placed to create a “playing card” with the student’s imaginative image. Grades 4-12 Salvador Dali Dreamscapes – Students will download images from the internet, learn about composition and put together the images using Photoshop to create a surreal scene in this 4-6 day residency.
