| The Gift Inside |
Scot Cannon presents this warm and touching non-denominational holiday show, which teaches that the best gifts we can give are the ones that come from inside us.
Using pantomime and music, Scot tells the story of a boy who could not talk, but has a voice deep inside that would sing. It’s only through performing selfless acts for those in need that he finally finds his voice.
In the second half of the program Scot removes his makeup and talks to the children about the story and what it means.
The Gift Inside is creative and would be a wonderful choice for a holiday program.
Grades K-6 | | The Gingerbread Man & The Three Bears | An Introduction to Opera
Opera Singer Yvette Lewis uses two well-known fairy tales to introduce pre-school and kindergarten audiences to opera.
Each fairy tale has its own original score. Students sing, act, and play instruments during this interactive presentation. Fast paced and fun, this program holds the attention of a young audience. They are captivated by Yvette’s voice, expressions and music.
The program provides an early introduction to a “singing story” and becomes a springboard to future operatic studies.
